Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
jLanguage is a personal language-learning app that delivers a word of the day with translations. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it is used.
Data We Collect
jLanguage does not collect any personally identifiable information. Specifically:
- No account required. The app works without signing in.
- No analytics or tracking. We do not use any analytics SDKs or third-party tracking.
- No data sent to us. Your language preferences and settings are stored locally on your device.
Network Requests
The app connects to api.jlangapp.com solely to fetch the daily vocabulary word. No device identifiers, IP addresses, or user data are logged or retained beyond standard web server access logs, which are discarded after 7 days.
On-Device Storage
Word history and language settings are stored locally in an App Group container shared between the app and its widgets. This data never leaves your device.
Third-Party Services
Word content is generated using the Google Gemini API. No user data is sent to Google — only requests for vocabulary words are made server-side.
Children's Privacy
jLanguage does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL.
